Book 2.give me some love and tenderness.Are You Want to Get Carnage (Four Horsemen, #1) The author did do a great job exploiting the men's deviant behavior. If you love dark, demented, ruthless, brutal, non-consensual stories, you will love this book. I actually re-read book 1 to see if I missed something. Is there a reason they need to be this mean to her? Am I missing something in the story? I don't understand how this relates to their big plan and mostly how their behavior is the polar opposite of how they say they love her and need her. The fact that I do love wicked dark romance, but didn't care for the entire event the guys set up for Scarlett, keeps me questioning myself. The scene was brutal physically and emotionally. I simply didn't understand why they treated her with such disregard. I think it bothered me because all four men explicitly admit their love for Scarlett. Although I like reading about rough play, I found myself cringing with what took place. The chapter that got into the "mind f**k, as the guys put it", was extremely intense and graphic.
This book really tested my limits regarding rough s x, degradation, and non-consensual sx. I love anti-hero, alpha male protagonists. Initially, I was excited as the story began. I honestly don't know how I feel about this story.
